FMA's original UVAL coater is the benchmark that all other coaters are made from. Being manufactured in the USA ensures easy support and service through an extensive dealer channel. it is the most robust production coater on the market today for all toner and offset applications. The UVAL can handle short run operation or 3 shifts of continuous operation.
Doctor Blade System
Rigid doctor blade system applies even pressure across entire roll to eliminate hazing and streaks that other wiping squeegees leave behind.
Safety Features
Sheet detectors prevent fires before they start. The system shuts down the UV lamp to actively prevent fires before they have a chance to get started- unlike other systems which only detect a fire once it has started.
Nylon End Dams
FMA uses nylon composite material for greater stability and wear strength - unlike common felt (used by other companies) which degrades and can contaminate the coating.
Main Drive
AC Inverter drive system with electronic overload protection and spring tensioning for smooth operation in forward and reverse.
Easy Access
Closed-loop recirculating UV dispensing system is easy-access for cleaning and re-supply. Cabinet design accepts coating manufacturer's standard 5 gallon pail.
